Day 3 Tour of Kyoto

Today we took an all day tour around Kyoto. We started at 8:30am in the morning and ended around 7:00pm. The pictures you see are from the end to the beginning of the tour. We saw a number of shrines, The Imperial Palace and the Kyoto Handicraft center (which is where we ate lunch). You will see a few kids in kimonos. They were at one of the shrines where they were doing a coronation for kids, sorta of like a baptisim. They were so cute. You will also see a number of gisha pics. We were near the Ginza district which is where they train to be a Geisha so we saw a number of them. Needless to say Anthony was drooling. You will notice that alot of the shrines have bright orange on them. When asked someone why they all have that as their color they said it is because it is the color of the sun. So it as if they are bringing light to the area. We saw many amazing sights inside of all the shrines and the imperial palace but pictures were not allowed. We will have to kep the memory engraved in our minds. We befriended a few people on the tour which made the tour more interesting. After all day are feet were definitely barking, but it was well worth it.
